HAWAIIAN AFFAIRS CAUCUS NOTICE OF TWO VACANCIES FOR CAUCUS REPRESENTATIVES TO THE DEMOCRATIC PARTY OF HAWAI’I STATE CENTRAL COMMITTEE FOR THE 2026-28 TERM
This notice is to announce two (2) vacancies for the positions of Hawaiian Affairs Caucus (HAC) Representatives to the State Central Committee of the Democratic Party of Hawai’i to be filled by the Executive Committee of the HAC on Friday, May 29, 2026. Each vacancy must be of a different gender.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION: In accordance with the Hawaiian Affairs Caucus Bylaws, Article VI, Section 3 – Qualifications
To serve in any of the positions that comprise the Executive Committee, the nominee must provide a written statement certifying that he/she meets the following qualifications:
- Is a member of the Democratic Party of Hawai‘i;
- Is a member of the Hawaiian Affairs Caucus;
- Fully subscribes to the purpose, mission, and values of the Caucus as set forth in these Bylaws;
- Demonstrates involvement and active participation with the Caucus or any other Hawaiian organization by such activities as attending meetings, serving as a committee chair, serving as an officer, advocating for the well-being of Native Hawaiians, or any other activity in support of the Caucus and/or Hawaiian organization.
- Commit to attend Executive Committee and general membership meetings.
